Camera scoring · free every day

Point your phone.
Arrows are scored.

Arrow Tempo's camera finds your target face and arrow on it, scores the end in seconds, and lets you fix anything before it's saved. The AI model runs entirely on your iPhone — fully offline, nothing uploaded. The first 36 camera arrows are free every single day — no subscription to start.

From the target to a scored end in three moves.

01
Point

Raise your phone

Walk down, frame the target. The camera locks onto the face and holds the shot steady — no perfect aim required.

02
Detect

AI finds every arrow

Entirely on-device — and fully offline — the model outlines each shaft and drops an impact point on the rings, gold, red, blue, scoring the end instantly. No signal, no server.

03
Confirm

Glance, fix, save

Spot a missed shaft or a false hit, fix it in the inspector, save. Your correction quietly sharpens the next detection.

Arrow Tempo camera scoring review — six arrows detected and scored on the target face, 53/60, with a tap to add any the AI missed before saving the end.
You have the final say

Detection you can trust — because you check it.

The model is good. You're better. Review the captured frame one arrow at a time: delete a false hit on an old nock hole, add a shaft the cluster hid, drag an impact a few rings, or override the score outright.

The model runs on-device — works fully offline, nothing uploaded
Low-confidence hits are flagged for you, not hidden
One-at-a-time inspector — nothing scored behind your back
Every correction feeds the model, so it gets sharper each end

Camera scoring, on the house — every day you shoot.

No paywall to get started. Every day you get 36 free camera arrows — about six ends — scored by the camera, fixed by you, saved like any other. Spend them, and scoring drops cleanly back to manual tap-to-plot for the rest of the session. The count resets at midnight.

A glanceable counter shows exactly what's left
One gentle heads-up on your last free end — no nags
Run out mid-session? Manual plotting takes over instantly

Arrow Tempo manual plotting — tap where each arrow landed on a full target face, always free, after the day's free camera arrows are used up.
Counting from the sound of release and gyroscope motion

Rather not pull out your phone mid-end?

The Apple Watch still has the line. A microphone hears each release and ticks your count up automatically — no buttons, no clicker. Shoot the round, then walk down and let the camera score the whole face at once.

Camera scoring

Point at the face, AI detects and scores every arrow, you confirm. Free every day — go unlimited with a subscription.

The watch counts

A microphone on Apple Watch hears every release and ticks the count up — round by round, hands free.

Heart rate & hold

Every arrow is timestamped with HR and draw hold. Link a camera score to a shot to bring the pairing back.

Drag-to-place too

Prefer to tap it yourself — or out of free camera arrows? Hold a shot row, drop the target, drag to where it landed.

Signature heatmap

Every scored arrow blends onto one target over weeks. Drift becomes obvious — so does progress.

Every arrow you score — by camera or by hand — heat-blends onto your target over weeks. Put two windows side by side and the patterns you'd never notice arrow-by-arrow become impossible to miss.

Before you head to the line.

Is camera scoring really free?
Yes — the first 36 camera arrows each day are free, about six ends, and the count resets at midnight. Spend them and scoring falls back to manual tap-to-plot for the rest of that session, which is always free. A subscription removes the daily cap entirely and unlocks the signature heatmap.
How accurate is the camera scoring?
The on-device model is trained to find each arrow and its impact point on standard target faces, and it scores the rings the same way you would. It's built to be checked, not trusted blindly — low-confidence hits are flagged, and you confirm or correct every end in the inspector before it's saved.
What happens when I run out of free camera arrows?
Nothing stops. The next end opens the manual tap-to-plot target automatically — the same one archers already use — so the session keeps going. You get one gentle heads-up on your last free end, and a counter shows what's left before then. It resets at midnight.
The watch and the camera — how do they fit together?
The watch times each shot in order (hold length, heart rate); the camera scores the whole face but can't know which arrow was shot when. So they're kept honest: an unordered score set next to the timed shot sequence. If you remember which score was which shot, tap to link them and the per-shot score-to-tempo pairing comes back. Linking is always optional.
Do I have to use the camera?
No. Camera scoring is the fastest way, but drag-to-place scoring on a full target is always there and always free, and the Apple Watch still counts every release on the line. Use whichever fits the session.
Which target faces does it work with?
The full FITA 10-ring, the 50m 6-ring compound face and the Vegas 3-spot, indoors or out. You pick the face type before you raise the phone.
Does my target photo get uploaded?
Detection runs entirely on-device — your iPhone does the work, not a server, so camera scoring works fully offline, even in airplane mode. If you choose to, corrected frames can be contributed to improve detection for everyone; it's opt-in, and there are no user accounts.
Which iPhone and Apple Watch do I need?
Camera scoring runs on iPhone. The watch features need an Apple Watch Series 4 or later on watchOS 10 or newer, paired with the iPhone.
Does my practice data sync, and is it kept?
Sessions sync live between watch and iPhone, and there are no accounts to manage. The free app shows your last 30 days of history; Arrow Tempo Premium unlocks your full archive.
